Oppose Rollback of Mercury Emissions

Here’s an article headline from today’s NYT: WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is expected on Thursday to weaken regulations on the release of mercury and other toxic metals from oil and coal-fired power plants, another step toward rolling back health protections in the middle of a pandemic. This is an outright attack on the environment that you and I and our families and all Americans depend upon to remain healthy. I urge you to push back on this unnecessary roll back of limitations on on the release of mercury and other toxic metals from coal fired power plants. This is part of Donald Trump’s efforts to deregulate our country into an unsafe place to live. I certainly hope you will rise up and express concern over this. Better yet, I urge you to sponsor or co-sponsor legislation to insure the current limitations on toxic power plant emissions remain in place.
