Institutionalized racism abounds in our nation. You can readily see it in government, in the police, in housing, in education, in healthcare, and so on and so forth. It is time to stop the meaningless statements of "we aren't racists" and to start actively being anti-racist. This goal is nearly impossible when our President spouts vitriol on a daily basis.
Please remember your core values. This has stopped being about liberals and conservatives. This is about being good people. Actively renounce police brutality. Actively speak out when you see hateful tweets and statements from our President.
Our nation was made with the intent of being a beautiful melting pot. Let's return to that. Join us. Speak for your constituents. Speak against racism and against vitriol from our leader.
