I am writing because I am deeply concerned about the militarized presence that we are seeing particularly in Washington DC. The use of force used to clear protesters so that Donald Trump could have a photo op was absolutely uncalled for. Help insist that we demilitarize our police forces and allow peaceful protests. The bill being required in cities for protesters is rising right now as well. I urge you to stop requiring cash bail for nonviolent charges and misdemeanors.
