Justice for Marine Raiders

593 so far! Help us get to 1,000 signers!

For over a year, three decorated United States Marine Raiders have been awaiting trial for crimes they did not commit. GySgt. Daniel Draher, GySgt. Joshua Negron, and Chief Eric Gilmet are battling a very cut and dry self-defense case with much evidence in their support. This has led to pre-trial punishments in the forms of promotion holds, loss of special pay, revoked clearances, and even removal of rank and billet appropriate jobs. Before any formal charges, the command these men work for alienated them from the rest of their unit, creating the illusion of presumed guilt, rather than innocence. Constitutional rights are being violated, and the good names and reputations of three senior, highly trained, and revered Special Operators are being smeared in both the public eye, and the in the eyes of their brothers and sisters in arms. The scales of justice in the military are unbalanced, and there is zero benefit of the doubt for the accused, even with exculpatory evidence. Military justice is unique in comparison to the civilian legal system in that the individual who oversees the entire process from start to finish is the boss of the accused, leaving far too much room for biased and unlawful command influence. The media is quickly becoming interested in the story of these three Marine Raiders. However, in a blatant attempt to prevent their legal representation from correcting the record of a false narrative, the prosecution is actively seeking a gag order. All three have wife and children, outstanding military records, and nearly 60 years of combined service with the majority of that time conducting special operations throughout the world. Should these Marine Raiders be cleared of all charges, they will still bear the stain of being involved in this case. I urge you to stand with me in supporting these men and their families in fighting for their freedom, as they have valiantly fought for ours.
