An open letter to the President

Don’t change COVID-19 data managment now.

3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am a career data managment professional who has worked in this field for more than 30 years. I’ve worked in all three branches of the Federal Government and have been recognized by several organizations for my work in the data field Open Data is important to citizens like me for understanding our current environment without biases introduced by others. The CDC has had a critical role in ensuring access to data free from bias. Making a change now to move data and analytics to a more partisan process is risky and unacceptable. I urge you to keep in place the processes and regulations for ensuring data about COVID-19 is always available and timely via the CDC. Our lives are dependent upon this data.
