An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures

Protect Missouri Citizens!

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

When are you going to show concern for the citizens of Missouri? Our death rate is higher than other states with similar populations. You didn’t put rules into affect with any consequences. You only issued guidelines, and those aren’t even being followed. The number of people contracting the illness is going to soar after memorial day weekend, and it is on your head! The health department should’ve been out shutting down businesses that weren’t requiring social distancing. I expect to see the state change the guidelines to rules that will be enforced until our numbers are on a steady decline. Counties should be required to show that, not only their numbers are declining, but the numbers of people of color entering the hospital is also declining. They should be required to hire contact tracers that reflect the populations of people contracting the virus. And they should have enough people on staff with the health department to enforce social distancing and the wearing of masks in public. Stop putting Missouri residents at risk and do your job!
