An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect Your Residents and the 2020 Census

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

President Trump has signed a memorandum the goal of which is to exclude undocumented residents from being included in 2020 census data. Census totals are used to determine how resources are allocated among and within the states, and are a guiding metric for how our systems and programs are administered. Apart from being unconstitutional, excluding anyone from that process is a dangerous, fanciful exercise: not counting someone does not erase their existence. Their mind, their body, their needs will remain ever more desperately real. In your role as a representative of Missouri, please protect all citizens and residents who live within its borders, and ensure that our state is provided the resources to serve them.
