An open letter to State Legislatures

Privacy Measures too weak, hold out for Real Privacy Protection

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Please support Washington residents privacy by opposing these two weak, terrible bills that are "privacy wash", looking like they might help, but effectively doing nothing. OPPOSE SB 6281, the “Washington Privacy Act”, as it is basically window dressing — it doesn’t protect consumers or hold tech companies accountable. Oppose SB 6280, which still allows government use of facial recognition with no meaningful regulation, let alone the moratorium so many groups are asking for. thank you for your attention to these important matters. And please write and pass Effective measures that will protect our privacy, especially facial recognition.
