We need help NOW. We need funding to support American workers - NOT big corporations. McConnell is as crooked as ever, compromising our health and safety by trying to give $500B to corporations, no strings attached. This is not going to help doctors and hospitals get more ventilators and N95 masks, it’s not going to help unemployed workers pay the rent.
Corporations have experienced unprecedented profits and have mismanaged their money by paying CEOs billions, while reducing wages and benefits of their workers. They can reallocate their resources on their own - they don’t need OUR taxpayer dollars because they gave all their money to CEOs.
Bringing the spread of the coronavirus under control remains the single best way to limit damage to the economy; health care providers & local governments are on the front lines and running low on funds. There is definitely NO reason that federal emergency coronavirus legislation should contain money that could be used to support businesses owned by the President - that’s just wrong, wrong wrong. Do the right thing - get money to working people so we can make our monthly payments and keep surviving. No corporate bailouts - please.
