An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Pa. only)

Marsh Creek "Mistake" is another symptom of the Danger to our Communities

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Sunoco calls it a "mistake." That word is a cop out. Time and again, Sunoco's lack of oversight has impacted our communities. Sink holes. Breaching of water ways & water supply. The latest is Marsh Creek - recreational lake for fishing and a water supply. The ecosystem is going to be damaged for years. All of the environmental disruption the Mariner East Pipeline has caused has been preventable with control measures...which Sunoco has time and again shown a lack of attention to those measures. The breach at Marsh Creek is just one of many points of negligence & lack of following regulations. We should be terrified by what this negligence could mean long term. When we also add that this is a high pressure & highly volatile gas product the pipeline will carry. These are just indicators to be afraid for our communities. Please tell me that we are taking action? This is now state owned land / lake that is impacted. Do something!
