end militarization of the police

I am a member of Indivisible CA33. I'm writing to ask that you support legislation that ends the transfer of surplus military equipment to local law enforcement. The militarization of our police departments creates a more dangerous environment for both the officers and the communities they serve, e.g., Sen. Schatz's proposed amendment to limit the transfer of military grade equipment to the police. Thank you for your time and attention.
