Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Watching the nightly parade of anger in America. I wonder how our president spent his day, while George Floyd’s family was saying a final goodbye?
Kidding. We all know what he was doing. And we frankly know he could care less about anything other than his ego and weird obsessions.
I wrote you earlier today so I’m surprised that at least one of you didn’t have a clue about the latest lunatic tweet by your president.
Again, kidding. I know no one actually reads my letters, even though I get the same rote thank you every time I write one.
But I digress. You all know what he said. An old man was assaulted while exercising his right to protest. The President tweeted his usual conspiracy theory reality. And the the GOP Congress runs away from questions, pleads ignorance, or just flat out says they don’t care about what he said.
Do you care about anything but keeping your jobs? You should. You should care about the oath you took to serve America and her people. Instead you chose Mr. Trump. I guess out of fear.
You keep him enabled. Your silence confirms that anything he says is just fine. He’s entitled to his opinion right? Your silence implies you would agree with that opinion.
It doesn’t work that way. Think of it like a unholy marriage vow you took with him. Till death do you part. You have to take the good with the bad. Just like the rest of us.
Or at least until November 3, when America will be divorcing as many of you as possible.
And maybe you want to consider watching the news or at least read a little bit so you’ll know what’s going on on your watch.
Wouldn’t want you to miss the revolution. It’s a wonder to behold.
