Why? That’s always the question isn’t it? Why?
U.S. intelligence agencies have strong proof Russian has, is, and will spread disinformation and propaganda to influence the November election. Personally directed, by his buddy Putin.
But our president chooses instead to deny and deflect and praise.
Mr. Trump has no problem with foreign meddling if it helps him politically. Which is the whole point.
So what if Mr. Putin had a rival recently poisoned. We’ll talk about that later.
So what if there were Russian bounties put on our military personnel in Afghanistan. Crickets chirping.
So what if disinformation has infiltrated our American Congress. And is being further disseminated and validated by our American Congress. Biden investigation anyone?
Or as someone so succinctly put it in condemning Trump's allies in Congress for choosing "to be accessories to foreign influence operations against the very sovereignty of the United States," an apparent reference to an investigation into the former vice president's dealings in Ukraine being conducted by Senate Republicans.
Who needs foreign agents in a country when it’s so easy to corrupt our leaders? With their complete cooperation.
