I am very concerned with the actions the past 24 hours. Attorney General William Barr attempted to oust Geoffrey Berman by stating falsely that he was stepping down. When that didn’t work, Trump fired him. The reasons that he was being pushed out are transparent as a glass window. His office was investigating Rudy Giuliani. This action along with attempting to backtrack Flynn’s guilty plea and reducing Roger Stone’s sentence make it perfectly clear that the Attorney General and the Department of Justice are working to “save” Trump’s associates. This cannot stand and as my elected representative and someone who voted “Not Guilty” in the sham of a Senate trial, you hold some responsibility in this matter. I expect you to vote NO on Jay Clayton. He has zero prosecutorial experience and should be nowhere near the position of Attorney in Manhattan. There is no other way to describe the actions of Attorney General Barr and Trump except shameful. I expect a response to this letter, and not a form letter in my email box. I need to know what you intend on doing about this.
