An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Condemn Trump’s Use of Military Force

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

You swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States from “all enemies, foreign and domestic,” and that you would “bear true faith and allegiance” to it. President Trump’s use of military force against peaceful protestors yesterday is one more in a long string of his administration’s flouting of the Constitution and our founding principles. As your constituent, I urge you to make all haste to fulfill your oath and the function of the legislative branch in condemning President Trump’s abuse of power. Your constituents, the country, and the world is watching. This is the moment that you can either live out the ideals enshrined in the Constitution, or be complicit in its destruction. History will note whether you lead or follow here!
