Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
So many questions these days. But I’ll make it brief.
I’m wondering how you all feel about Mr. Trump’s oldest son going on social media attempting to raise a militia army in support of his dad in the upcoming election? You know, in the event he loses.
CNN report: “Donald Trump Jr. is touting baseless election-rigging claims in videos posted to Facebook and Twitter asking "able-bodied" people to join an election security "army" for his father.
"The radical left are laying the groundwork to steal this election from my father," Trump Jr. said in the video posted by the Trump campaign. He added, "Their plan is to add millions of fraudulent ballots that can cancel your vote and overturn the election."”
So everybody with a gun show up...where? The polls? Washington? CNN?
What do you call this kind of action? I really want to know because I’m not a lawyer. Is this standard campaign fare? To have a presidential candidate sanction and promote a call for armed insurrection?
Now, let’s try a thought exercise. Substitute Hunter Biden for Donald Trump Jr.
Still feel okay with this call for violence?
And again, against who? American voters? Poll workers? Voting booths? Judges?
My friend had a succinct view of this kind of dangerous fealty. I quote...”It looks like the Trump flag has replaced the American flag.”
Can you argue with that?
