Ban Assault Weapons in New Mexico

Good morning, as a concerned New Mexican, I am writing you today to ask that you introduce legislation following the example California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York, and the District of Columbia that would generally ban the sale, manufacture, and transfer of assault weapons. I know Governor Grisham has repeatedly shown up for the people of New Mexico and taken action to end gun violence, and due to the apparent inability of the federal legislature to take action to ban these unnecessary weapons I urge you to do everything possible to keep New Mexicans safe.
