An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Investigate and Stop Big Tech's Theft of Personal Data

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

Investigate and stop Thiel, PayPal, Facebook, Google, Twitter, Venmo, and other tech giants from harvesting and profiting off our personal data without meaningful consent. These companies collect everything: our locations, our purchases, our messages, our social connections, and our browsing habits. They bundle it, sell it, and build billion-dollar profiles on ordinary people who never agreed to be a product. The terms of service most people click through are not informed consent. They are legal cover for surveillance at a scale no government agency could get away with. I want strong federal action, not a strongly worded letter to a CEO. That means real enforcement, real penalties that actually hurt a company's bottom line, and legislation that gives individuals the right to see, correct, and delete what these platforms hold on them. My data belongs to me, not to a Silicon Valley balance sheet.
