Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to take immediate action to restore trust and operational service levels at the United States Postal Service.
The first step must be the removal of the entire USPS Board of Governors, including Louis DeJoy. Then the process of getting the mail flowing smoothly again can commence.
Small business and voting are foundational to our economy and democracy. Adding postal bank accounts will give the Postal Service a new revenue stream, and help people with their finances, while providing competition on such services. Regarding action on emissions and climate, the Postal Service trucks are ripe for replacement with electric vehicles. This won't happen without people at the Postal Service that can get things done.
Please replace the Board of Governors, and get the mail moving again. Thank you!
