I am writing to demand immediate and adequate funding for public education for every American child. Our students are consistently falling behind their peers in other developed nations, not because of a lack of ability, but because of a lack of resources. This is a national crisis. When our children are denied the tools they need to succeed, America’s future is weakened.
Cuts to programs like Title I don’t just harm the most vulnerable students—they undercut every community in this country. Title I exists to give low-income schools a fighting chance at equity, yet instead of strengthening it, Congress has allowed funding gaps to grow wider. Every time you reduce resources for schools in need, you widen inequality and weaken the foundation of our democracy.
You have the power to change this. Fully and fairly funding public education will make America stronger, smarter, and safer. Every child, no matter their zip code, deserves access to well-trained teachers, safe school facilities, updated learning materials, and the opportunity to compete on a global stage. We cannot continue to fall behind while other nations invest in their future.
I urge you to act now. Fund public education adequately and permanently. Invest in America’s children—the return will be generations of informed citizens, skilled workers, and strong communities.
