Vote no on the big beautiful bill to protect New Yorkers!

The "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" proposed by President Trump is deeply concerning and should be rejected. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates it could add a staggering $2.4 trillion to the deficit over the next decade while leaving 11 million Americans without health insurance by 2034. This is unacceptable. We cannot afford to saddle future generations with unsustainable debt levels while stripping healthcare coverage from millions. The bill's cuts to Medicaid alone could cause 10.9 million people to lose their insurance, disproportionately impacting vulnerable communities. Furthermore, the legislation's tax cuts overwhelmingly favor corporations and the wealthy at the expense of working families. Instead of doubling down on failed trickle-down economics, we need policies that create broad-based prosperity and strengthen the social safety net. I urge you to stand firm against this misguided legislation that would set back progress and increase economic inequality. The American people deserve better than empty promises and a future mortgage to benefit the privileged few.
