Investigate Trump’s Cryptocurrency Sweepstakes for Campaign-Finance Violations

Please demand an immediate investigation into Donald Trump’s $TRUMP-coin “Dinner with the President” contest. For entry, supporters must hold roughly $400 (or more) of a campaign-linked cryptocurrency—an obvious digital pay-to-play. Because anyone, including foreign oligarchs, can buy and stash these tokens anonymously, the scheme blows a hole through contribution caps, disclosure rules, and the long-standing ban on foreign money in U.S. elections. I urge you to press the FEC and DOJ to determine whether this contest violates federal campaign-finance, gift, and foreign-donation laws, and to back legislation that closes the crypto loophole before it becomes the new normal. Democracy shouldn’t be auctioned off on the blockchain.
