Since multiple states are loosening child labor laws, we believe there's needs to also increased safety regulations to protect children. But this isn't why I'm writing. After hours of searching and calling local union offices, threes no clear guidance or laws federally, state-by-state, or locally as to whether the age children, minors under 18 years old, in the workforce can join unions. From the Industrial Workers of the World, IWW, to local unions, in laws in federal, state, or local legislature. Many have no answers, there's no guidance, or there's legal questions as to minors being allowed to join or form unions. There's little, if any, mention So I'm asking for guidance from lawmakers now. And hope this leads to clearer rules for child workers. Especially since child labor laws are being weakened significantly in some states more than others. Unions are the backbone of the country. Even as they are diminished in power. They are still necessary for safety and regulation as made evident by the recent labor related disasters. Please answer a CLEAR YES OR NO. Can minors 18 and under join or form a union? Thank you.
