Mask mandates make sense

Why can’t the anti-maskers and “individual’s rights to choose” people get the idea that a mask mandate is like a law against drunk driving? It not only protects the individual from causing an accident, but also protects the general public from the chance of an accident affecting them. I don’t hear them championing the right to drive drunk. There comes a time when individual rights must yield to the rights of the general populace. We the people have a right to be protected against the willful ignorance and dangerous behavior of of self-centered individuals. Please adopt mask mandates, especially in schools, where the risk is now higher due to the lack of immunizations. Thank you.
