Public schools are already underfunded and overstressed, yet instead of investing in improving them, you’ve chosen to siphon money away to fund private education — which can discriminate, lacks transparency, and isn’t required to serve all students. This betrayal is not going unnoticed. You are gambling with the futures of Texas children — and I, along with countless other furious constituents, will remember this vote. We will speak out, we will organize, and we will vote accordingly. I demand that you reverse course and fight for the public school system you were elected to support — not sabotage.
