An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Tax polluters. Ordinary people cannot and should not pay for pollution.

The Hill is reporting that utility rate hikes are expected as utilities take on the task of filtering out pollutants that are newly tested for. Most people in America are already severely cost-burdened. This is not a cost that belongs to ordinary people. The problem was foreseeable and big companies who get away with polluting the entire world while paying little in taxes are the ones that need to pay the cost of cleaning up the mess—a mess they willingly created whilst they were solely focused on profiteering. They knew or should have known, that wrecking the environment and the health of ordinary people would be the result. They must be made to pay taxes relative to the burdens they have put on the people in general, and wages relative to the cost of living. This must happen. It is urgent. Please write me back and tell me about a plan to correct taxes and wages so that ordinary people do not keep bearing the cost of the few wealth-builders.
