Kansans need more time to provide testimony on state legislative maps

Kansans deserve a fair and transparent redistricting process free of partisan games. I am asking you as the legislator representing my community in the Statehouse to contact members of the House and Senate Committees on Redistricting and let them know that the current proposed schedule for public testimony on legislative maps does not provide Kansans enough time to review and submit detailed testimony. Providing only a few days to analyze hundreds of pages of data is not a transparent way to create new House and Senate districts that will represent my community for the next 10 years. Please urge the committees to create additional opportunities for public testimony before any votes are taken on Senate and House redistricting maps. Thank you.
