Recently, an Israeli drone strike killed 4 civilians (including 3 children) when targeting a single alleged Hezbollah operative in Lebanon. It has been claimed that these 4 civilians were U.S. citizens, but that remains unclear. Even if they were not our citizens, we should still have significant problems with the fact that Israel would engage in this kind of attack, murdering multiple innocent children for the sake of a single individual. Not only does it show a reckless disregard for innocents, it also shows disrespect for Lebanon's national sovereignty. This is just one of many recent instances of Israel bombing other countries in the past weeks (including what appear to be their drone strikes against the Freedom Flotilla in foreign waters). Israel is escalating tensions and provoking conflict in the Middle East. They are showing disregard for innocent life. And they are using our funding and weapons to do it.
Why are we continuing to fund and support Israel? Why are we allowing them to take our money and use it to kill children? Why are we risking them drawing us into all out war in the Middle East? I don't want this. The American People don't want this. Why are you allowing it to happen?
Please support the Block the Bombs act to restrict the sale of weaponry to Israel. Please denounce our continued defense of Israel on the world stage. I urge you to put America first by rejecting Israel's excessive influence over our government and policies. If you won't do it to help the thousands of innocent children being killed by Israel, then do it to help the American children who would benefit far more by having billions of our taxpayer dollars go to benefit Americans.
