The allocation of $117 million for the QueensWay project, while commendable in its intent to provide green space, may inadvertently obstruct the potential for improved transit services via the QueensLink project. The latter, despite its higher cost of $6 billion, could significantly enhance transportation infrastructure, a critical need in our growing city. The state Senate's inclusion of $10 million for an environmental impact statement indicates a recognition of this need. Therefore, it is requested to reconsider the allocation of funds and prioritize the QueensLink project. This would ensure a balance between environmental considerations and the pressing need for improved transit services.
