I urge you to oppose the nominations of Anthony Lomangino and John LaValle to the United States Postal Service Board of Governors. Any vote in their favor is a vote to privatize the post office.
These nominees have zero postal or public service experience and they do not represent postal workers or the public.
Anthony Lomangino is a Trump megadonor and Mar-a-lago member with direct financial ties to Right for America, a pro-Trump super PAC that received nearly $9 million from his company. He also has troubling business connections to the incoming Postmaster General, raising serious concerns about his ability to provide accountability and oversight.
John LaValle is a longtime GOP operative and one of Trump’s earliest and loudest surrogates, hardly the profile of an impartial or qualified steward for one of our most vital public institutions.
These appointments would dangerously tip the balance of power on the USPS Board toward a corporate takeover agenda. Not to mention that they are both Republicans. If confirmed, the board make-up would be: 1 independent, 2 Democrats, 4 Republicans, and 2 open seats.
The USPS is not for sale. It is not a platform for political loyalists to execute a privatization playbook to benefit their rich friends on Wall Street. And it must not be reduced to a bargaining chip in any administration’s partisan agenda.
Please vote no on Lomangino and LaValle. Protect the independence, integrity, and public service mission of the United States Postal Service.
Protect the USPS for us all!
