An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Keep education inclusive for LGBTQ students.

I strongly oppose the recent executive order prohibiting the teaching of concepts related to gender identity and sexual orientation in public schools. This discriminatory policy promotes an exclusionary and intolerant educational environment that marginalizes LGBTQ+ students and fails to prepare young people for our diverse society. Schools should be spaces that foster acceptance, empathy, and a comprehensive understanding of different identities and experiences. Denying students access to factual information about gender and sexuality is a disservice to their education and personal growth. I urge you to reconsider this regressive policy and instead promote inclusive curricula that celebrate diversity and equip students with the knowledge to navigate our pluralistic world with compassion.
