We Are America March Invitation

I am writing on behalf of the We Are America March (www.weareamericamarch.com) to invite you to participate in a historic demonstration of democratic engagement that will culminate at the United States Capitol on September 19th, 2025. Beginning September 6th at Philadelphia's Independence Hall, regular Americans will embark on a 160-mile, 14-day pilgrimage to Washington, D.C., carrying a copy of the U.S. Constitution that has been rewritten by children. This peaceful march represents more than a walk—it is a people's movement designed to strengthen democracy through visible civic engagement and community building. We extend two meaningful invitations for your participation: First, we invite you to walk with our marchers for any distance—whether for a mile, an hour, or longer—as we pass through communities on our route to the Capitol. Your presence would demonstrate the vital connection between elected representatives and the citizens who entrusted you with their voice in government. Second, we respectfully request that you join us on Friday, September 19th at 1:00 PM outside the Capitol building to receive the copy of the Constitution that will have traveled from the birthplace of American democracy to its current heart. This Constitution, rewritten by children, represents the hopes and dreams of the next generation for American democracy. Your participation in this ceremony would honor both their vision and your role as a steward of our constitutional system. The We Are America March is grounded in principles of non-violence, community building, and safety. We have developed comprehensive safety protocols, including coordination with local authorities, trained peacekeepers, and medical support throughout the journey. This is a non-partisan effort focused on strengthening democratic participation and civic engagement across all communities. Your participation would be deeply meaningful to the thousands of Americans who will join this movement, whether for a few steps or the entire journey. We believe elected officials and citizens must work together to strengthen our democracy, and your presence would embody this essential partnership.
