Protect Women's Healthcare - Then Make Healthcare Work For All Of Us

I am your constituent and I just learned that Medicaid funding is now available for Planned Parenthood, at least for a while, as the one year ban expired on the 4th of July. NO FEDERAL MONEY EVER GOES TO PAY FOR ABORTION - the so-called Hyde amendment. Yet the 119th Congress, where you sit chose to exclude them from Medicaid payments. Planned parenthood provides basic healthcare, in addition to abortion to so many I am shocked that the 119th Congress saw no value in that. Planned Parenthood provides a wealth of services, including birth control, sexually transmitted infection and HIV testing breast cancer and chest screenings, vasectomies and more. These are services that should be widely available on demand. Many in Congress will now try to construct a third reconciliation bill to again exclude any funding to Medicaid Provider, Planned Parenthood. I demand that you not support any measure that restricts Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood. More - I want you to make sure women are restored to full citizenship in our country and pass the Women’s Health Protection Act - to make abortion a woman’s choice wherever she happens to live. It is what the U.S. Supreme Court said should be done. More - we should not have to beg for healthcare anywhere - I want you to do what ever is necessary to get Universal Healthcare, like H.R. 3069 up for a vote. We all deserve a healthcare system that is affordable and works for all of us. I will watch your words and your actions and I promise you I will vote accordingly.
