An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Urge diplomacy over isolationism to address global challenges

4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The Speaker's comments advocating for nations to prioritize their own interests over cooperating with allies are concerning. Such isolationist and nationalist stances often lead to conflict, instability, and ultimately weaken the position of all countries involved. True leadership requires finding ways to unite diverse perspectives around shared challenges like climate change, economic cooperation, and promoting democratic values. Embracing a hardline "America First" policy undercuts our nation's global standing and influence. Doubling down on unilateralism will damage long-standing partnerships that have safeguarded peace and prosperity. I urge reconsideration of this divisive rhetoric in favor of diplomacy that brings nations together to solve collective problems. Collaboration across borders expands markets, projects strength, and advances the interests of all.
