An Act of Terrorism: How did American Made Pagers Explode in Lebanon?

52 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

I write to you today in absolute shock and outrage over the recent explosions in Lebanon involving the use of American made, Motorola pagers, which killed at least nine people and wounded 2,750 others, including a young girl, as reported on September 17, 2024. The very notion that such devices, meant for simple communication, could be weaponized for mass death and injury is nothing short of horrifying. This act of terrorism must be urgently addressed, and the international community must confront and condemn the use of such dangerous tactics. The United States must lead the effort to impose a total arms embargo, halting the flow of weapons that fuel wars in the Middle East, especially against Israel, who has been implicated by Lebanese officials. I implore you to act decisively to prevent further loss of life and to promote peace and justice in the region.
