Al Green represents me better than Marie Glusenkamp Perez

This portion of my letter is directed specifically to Marie Glusenkamp Perez. You should be ashamed of yourself for your cowardice and weakness in the face of a true fascist takeover of our federal government. You failed to respond with any urgency to the crisis at hand at Trump's address to Congress and then you turned around and voted to censure Al Green, the only congressional member to stand up on the face of the true evil in the Whitehouse. You may feel no shame for your weak attempts at representing the most repugnant constituents in your district, but the ones who voted for you with goodwill and hope are feeling a deep shame for how you are representing us. You are representing the people who voted for you poorly and are instead choosing to vote in ways that represent the people who voted for your opponent and an enemy of democracy, Joe Kent. The people that you are choosing to represent will throw you in the trash in favor of whatever MAGA sycophant has an R next to their name and the people who want more and better from you will be so disillusioned by your assistance in the end of democracy that you will fail to rally the support necessary to keep the fascists at bay in WA-03. This is a warning to you, there will be a primary challenger and they will win the nomination if you don't start acting like the people who voted for you twice expect you to act. I want to support you but I need you to act and vote in a way that is supportable and so far you have failed to do so. There's still time to course correct. The first step is a public apology to Al Green for allying with the fascists in their crusade against his courage. To my senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, the choice not to attend the presidential address to Congress was admirable but still fell short of what is required to combat this threat. Our tactics are going to have to evolve if we hope to make it through this administration with democracy intact. I want to encourage you to get louder and more resistant in the face of this existential threat to our democracy. You can be the leaders who show us how to get out of this mess and start putting our butchered government back together. I hope that Representative Glusenkamp Perez can grow to be an ally in this fight instead of a blue snake Democrat who enables the enemies of America to complete their fascist transformation. As a queer small business owner, I vacillate between fear and rage on a minute by minute basis for the future of my queer community and my livelihood. I feel sorrow for the immigrant families and citizens of Ukraine, Gaza, Canada and Mexico who are being sold out by a wanna-be despot who has allied himself with blood thirsty dictators like Putin and Netenyahu. I know the world can be better and I hope all three of you can be bold leaders in righting this ship that is currently sinking into oligarchy and autocracy.
