OUR PRESIDENT DOES NOT REPRESENT THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA. STOP ACTING LIKE HE DOES

Here we go again…the president of the US stuck his beak where it didn’t belong. World Cup. Another event that brings the world together in shared joy. Sometimes shared defeat. We all know the story by now. An American player got a red card which got him booted from the Belgium vs US match. Trump made a phone call. Player reinstated. At the WH he told reporters: “So I saw the play. And I’m a person that loves sports and was a good athlete. And I understand sports really well. Really well. And that wasn’t a foul. That wasn’t even an infraction. That was two guys running full speed that happened to crash into each other…. No, these were two great athletes that got tangled up, and this referee, who— is a little bit suspect— if you check his, if you check his past.” Yeah, by all means, check the referee’s past. He’s probably a commie. Then he meandered a bit more…“[Balogun] didn’t do anything wrong, and he’s our best player or one of our best players, a very— vital player, and he gave him a red card. I didn’t know what that meant. I didn’t think it meant much. Then I started hearing that that means he can’t play in the next game, at least in the next game. I said, Boy, that’s a big— You know, if it happened to another player, it would have been unfair, but when they take your best player or just about, they have some great players, but, and they say, you can’t play. That’s very unfair. That’s, you know, it’s one thing to penalize somebody for the game. But how do you penalize them for a game that hasn’t been played yet? is very unfair. You can’t do that. So, yes, I asked for a review by FIFA.” So the guy who knows everything about sports didn’t know what a red card was but he decided it must have been rigged. And he was the one to fix it for America. (Kinda like he jinxed Game 3 of the NBA Finals for the Knicks recently, just by showing up, his blatant interference didn’t work out.) He managed instead to make America out to be a cheater. And we lost anyway. Regardless, win or lose, he screwed the pooch for our country. This is just another episode in the continued bungling leadership we have come to accept from the Trump administration. And another example of how his world of corruption is completely normal to him. It was just another phone call to bend something or someone to his will. And now he has the presidency, and our money, to bludgeon the world and everyone in it. Meanwhile we are getting to live the ripple effect of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Trump signed on July 4, 2025. His, and the GOP’s, signature piece of legislation. This act created a seismic shift in America’s economic strata. it extended about $4.5T in tax cuts to corporations and wealthy Americans over 10 years. It cut about $1.1T from healthcare and food assistance programs that serve poor and working-class Americans. It adds about $4.7T to the national debt over the next 10 years. Robin Hood in reverse. It deliberately targets the most vulnerable among us. While providing huge windfalls to the richest among us. The president and his administration do not share our day-to-day concerns. Because their day-to-day looks nothing like the majority of us. So yeah, he can spend his days decorating and interfering and gossiping and s&*t- post ranting and playing petty games like a schoolyard bully, because that is what he has always done. It is his normal. And he will never change. But it should not be America’s normal. We the people are better than that. We care about our neighbors. We care about injustice. We care about the suffering of others. We’re charitable. We want to help. We are kind. We strive to live and let live And we do not aim our hate at others just to make ourselves feel better. Trump has already made our country appear hateful, and dangerous, to the world. And now we look like cheaters too. The GOP has damaged us beyond belief.
