Oppose the kidnapping and denial of due process to immigrants on American soil

It is unacceptable to use immigration hearings as a ruse for masked men with no uniforms to nab immigrant parents and haul them off in vans. Images of mothers crying for their children, or of children comforting their mothers as they are kidnapped off the street, do not reflect American constitutional values. In America we give everyone due process. We do not give due process only to the people we deem desirable and permit the rest to be snatched and hauled off in broad day light by anonymous goons. Maybe in North Korea, Iran, and Putin’s Russia. But not here. Not by us. I urge you to watch two videos of these atrocious acts. I urge you not to wait for that day of judgment and instead to immediately and publicly register your opposition to Trump’s policy that strips due process from persons standing on American soil. For the sake of history, if not for the sake your own mark upon history, you must oppose the abject cruelty and naked, gross authoritarian instincts and actions of Donald Trump and his enablers. It is time for men and women of sharply divided opinions, yet who commonly share a good conscience and strong moral bearings to say, Enough. At long last, enough. I urge you to raise your voice with mine and oppose the kidnapping of and denial of due process to immigrants on American soil.
