266 people have now died from Israel’s starvation campaign in Gaza, including 112 children.
Some aid is trickling in, but against the scale of need—blocked borders, bombed infrastructure, and calculated destruction—it is not even a band-aid:
100% of Gaza’s population faces acute food insecurity.
1 million people are at IPC Phase 4 (emergency levels).
470,000 people are at IPC Phase 5 (catastrophic famine).
86% of crop fields have been destroyed.
72% of Gaza’s fishing fleet is gone.
71% of greenhouses have been damaged.
Gaza now has access to just 1.5% of its farmland—obliterating any hope of self-sustainability.
International airdrops are woefully inadequate. Thirty packages equal only one truckload of aid. Gaza requires 600 truckloads per day. In 17 days, only 1,218 airdrop packages were delivered—meaning it would take 250 days to match even a single day’s minimum requirement. Since March 2024, 26 Palestinians have also been killed by falling aid packages.
Israel’s indiscriminate bombing of Gaza City also continues, with the intent to occupy and further ethnically cleanse Palestinians from the area. Over 86% of Gaza is already militarily occupied, confining the population to an ever-shrinking space. A group of UN experts decried Israel’s forcible transfer plans as “an attempt to create a concentration camp with conditions so dire that Gazans will ultimately be forced from their homeland”. They also highlighted the “irrefutable evidence of Israel committing multiple prohibited acts under the Genocide Convention.”
The manufactured starvation campaign and ethnic cleansing of Gaza must end. I call on you to immediately:
Impose full, comprehensive sanctions on Israel.
Enforce a complete two-way trade embargo—ending all import and export activity with Israel.
Immediately end all arms sales and intelligence cooperation.
Ensure unimpeded access for aid and humanitarian organisations, and suspend GHF’s deadly “aid” sites.
