I am following up to urge immediate congressional oversight into reports that Natalie Harp, one of President Trump’s closest aides, worked in the White House for roughly a year without routine security clearance.
This is not a minor paperwork issue. A senior aide working near the president may be exposed to classified information, national security discussions, sensitive communications, and privileged government materials. If an aide refused or failed to complete the required forms and still remained in a position of trust, Congress needs to know who allowed it and why.
I am asking you to demand answers to the following questions:
1. Did Natalie Harp have access to classified or sensitive information while lacking routine clearance?
2. Who approved her continued White House role despite the clearance issue?
3. Were standard personnel security procedures waived, ignored, or overruled?
4. Are there other White House officials or aides operating without proper clearance?
5. What safeguards are now in place to prevent this from happening again?
Security clearance rules exist for a reason. They are not optional, and they should not depend on personal loyalty to the president. Congress has a duty to investigate whether national security procedures were bypassed at the highest level of government.
