An open letter to the U.S. Congress

The President Cannot Revoke Citizenship

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

the President of the United States does not have the right to revoke citizenship because of things a person has said. The first amendment protects against governmental retribution of this nature. Naturalized citizens are being detained at the border and not allowed back into the country based on a record of misdemeanors, and Trump threatened to revoke a born American's citizenship because she said something he didn't like. If this is a joke, it's inappropriate for the president to joke about revoking citizenship. It it's not and he truly thinks he has that power, Congress needs to set him straight. None of us want the country to be like this. Please help us.
