Secure release of wrongfully detained U.S. citizen

Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez, a U.S. citizen, was wrongfully detained by ICE during a traffic stop for which he was not charged with any crime. He, a US born citizen, is being held captive on ICE orders. His unjustified arrest is an egregious breach of rights that cannot stand. Immediate action must be taken to secure Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez' release and prevent further violations of citizens' constitutional protections against unreasonable search and seizure. This draconian treatment enabling such abuses has no place in a free society and must be remedied to uphold American values of due process and equal justice under the law.
