Impeach Kristi Noem and Reform U.S. Immigration Policy

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to restore legality, accountability, and humane treatment in U.S. immigration policy.
First, Congress should remove DHS Secretary Kristi Noem from office and investigate the Department of Homeland Security’s current enforcement practices. Leadership that allows systemic violations of due process and human rights cannot continue without accountability.
Second, Congress should move to close federal immigration detention facilities. The current detention system has repeatedly been criticized for unsafe conditions, lack of transparency, and inadequate oversight. Immigration proceedings should rely on community-based alternatives rather than mass detention.
Third, Congress should abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and replace it with a system that focuses on lawful immigration processing, civil enforcement, and constitutional protections.
Finally, Congress should fully restore Health and Human Services programs that support refugees and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) recipients. These services provide essential assistance to people who entered the United States legally and who depend on resettlement support to rebuild their lives.
The United States must maintain an immigration system grounded in law, human dignity, and democratic accountability. I urge you to support policies that move our country toward that goal.
