Oppose harmful, undemocratic, unethical, illegal, and cruel provisions in the Republican reconciliation bill a.k.a. OBBB. Vote NO. Protect the Affordable Care Act. They failed to eliminate it during the previous Trump administration, so now they are attempting to gut it with provisions in the OBBB. Millions of Americans could lose access to affordable healthcare. Protect the SNAP program. Children in at-risk situations could lose access to food without this resource. Save the Fair Housing Initiatives program. People need access to affordable housing. Save the Jobs Corp program. It's a valuable resource to help young people gain skills and employment. Fight censorship of academic research. Support unbiased science practices. Defend higher education from attack in the OBBB. Fund US weather and climate science. Oppose cuts to gender-affirming healthcare. Oppose cuts to 'contempt of court' enforcement. I've read news articles discussing a hidden provision in the bill that could weaken the judicial branch. From what I've read in news articles, the provision holds that no federal court “may use appropriated funds” to enforce a contempt-of-court citation for failing to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order “if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued.” Defend rule of law. Defend Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and the ACA from guts and cuts. Vote NO on the OBBB. Thank you.
