An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress; State Governors & Legislatures
“Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient and very costly to our Nation.” DJT

I hope this letter finds you well and not fumbling with the clock on Air Force One. I’m writing about a national crisis—Daylight Saving Time. It’s dumb. Please make it stop.
Originally, DST was supposed to save energy during World War I. Then it came back in World War II and never left—like a bad houseguest. People blame farmers (who hate it), praise golfers (who love extra daylight), and credit Big Candy (longer trick-or-treating). Meanwhile, the rest of us just lose sleep and question our life choices.
And yet, despite decades of whining, nothing has changed. Why? Because Congress would rather debate literally anything else. But here’s the thing—you’ve signed executive orders for everything. Surely, killing this outdated, clock-changing nonsense deserves a spot on the list!
Even you agree! On Dec. 13, 2024, you posted on Truth Social: “Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient and very costly to our Nation.” Well, sir… DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Washington freed the colonies. Lincoln ended slavery. You could be the president who let Americans keep their clocks where they belong. End this madness, and the nation will thank you—well-rested and on time.
