Help me to understand

I do not understand why anyone would oppose an investigation of what caused the insurrection on Jan. 6. I do not understand why anyone would want to vote against improving the infrastructure of our country. I do not understand why someone in the verge of a comfortable retirement would vote to ensure the discomfort of the people whom he is paid to support. I can understand how people can be taught that I am less of a person because I have fallen in love with a man. I can understand how someone can be taught to hate based on someone’s appearance or culture. I understand these things, but I cannot understand why you would support them. Please educate me on how what you’re doing will help the people of Ohio?
