After watching Republicans attempt to rip healthcare away from tens of millions of Americans (and thankfully fail) and give major corporations and billionaires over $1 trillion in tax cuts using budget reconciliation, I cannot believe that Democrats are rolling over to a technicality and abandoning a $15 minimum wage—a wage that everyone knows would also be far to little for any person to reasonably support themselves, let alone a family. Democrats have been handed complete control of government at quite possibly our nation’s greatest time of need, and if they do not deliver, I fear they will never be given the opportunity to govern again. And really, why should they? Republicans will bend, push, break every rule to deliver for their constituents. Their true constituents. Meanwhile, Democrats run as the party of the People, but abandon us when faced with the slightest resistance. Please. Fight for the People. E pluribus unum.
