I am asking you to consider your legacy as you undertake two important decisions. 1) I urge you not to agree to spend down the state's surplus, but if you are going to to so, to please ensure any negotiations prioritize the Assembly Democrats' bill that funds our public schools. 2) I urge you to veto AB 446/SB445. Though I oppose antisemitism in all its forms, this bill would harm academic freedom and free speech in our public higher education system.
