An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Cancel wasteful military parade, prioritize national interests

7 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

A military parade through Washington is an extravagant display that does little to serve the national interest. The projected $45 million cost is an enormous expenditure, especially considering the potential for millions in infrastructure damage from heavy military vehicles traversing city streets. This appears to be an event staged solely for the desires of one individual rather than any constructive purpose benefiting all citizens. As elected representatives, you have a duty to exercise proper oversight and halt this inappropriate normalization of antidemocratic behavior that disregards the well-being of the populace. Our resources would be better directed towards more constructive endeavors that unite rather than divide the country.
