U.S. ARMY VETERAN TRAPPED IN GAZA - STOP THIS GENOCIDE NOW

Israel has not complied with the ICJ's provisional measures. Our country's veto vote has been abused every single time a resolution has come to the UN Security Council to hold Israel accountable. This cannot be allowed to happen again. When the next, inevitable resolution comes to the UN Security Council to hold Israel accountable, I demand that you do everything within your power to ensure the U.S. veto vote is not abused. As of 5/16, there are 20 American doctors trapped in Gaza at the European Hospital. One of those American doctors is Adam Hamawy, a U.S. Army veteran from New Jersey. He served in Iraq and saved the life of Senator Tammy Duckworth who was injured during her service. The doctors are now rationing water. One is in such poor health they are on an IV drip to try and combat the severe dehydration. This is a microcosm of the plight of the Palestinians who are also trapped, being starved to death and deprived of water and other necessities, and of Gaza's own medical staff who face their own health crises due to the same conditions. This administration has done nothing for American citizens trapped in Gaza so far. I wonder, will you show the same disregard for our doctors? It saddens me deeply that Palestinian lives are not enough for you. Will you finally step up for an Army veteran? Don't get me wrong, he deserves your attention and intervention, and I implore you save his life. But, his life is not more valuable than the over 2 million Palestinians facing imminent annihilation. Will you tell an Army veteran that he is lying about the apocalyptic conditions in Gaza? I hope beyond hope this will be the final straw to force this administration to take immediate action to stop Israel's genocide. I demand that you:  – Hold Israel accountable for a permanent, immediate ceasefire, their violations of the Genocide Convention, and gross human rights violations by any means necessary – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace – Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7 – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law – Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict – Pass legislation that voids all anti-BDS laws at the federal level
